Bringing a mix of traditional Scottish music and bass music for a night of jubilations.

Our first Christmas Market

We were accepted to Edinburgh’s famous Christmas Market and we rallied together (rather last minute) to make it happen!

Scott joins as head roaster

Scott joined us as head roaster as we moved into an old stables in Edinburgh to roast our coffee in a dedicated space.

Planting trees

We helped re-wild an area next to the Christmas Tree farm where we source our trees. We planted around 7000 trees in the form of a mixed (mostly native) species hedge.

We also planted 500 standalone native trees (included in the 7000 trees total).

Building A Team

Working 14 hours a day, 5-7 days a week, quickly became unmanageable.

So we began to build a team and actually employ people - a really big step. We have always been extremely fortunate in having such an amazing team.

‘Signs’ film released

Having had a laptop and backup hard drive stolen, this almost didn’t happen. We lost all the interviews on Fair Trade.

Later some of the Vietnam footage was salvaged and this was pieced together.

You Know Who

2020 brought turbulence and difficulty. After closing for 4 weeks to assess the situation we opened up. It was a privilege to serve people in this this difficult time and play some roots reggae in the park.

We accidentally go viral for our hot chocolates.

Moving to the Meadows

A regular customer at the police box was adamant we shouldn’t go to the north coast of Scotland and live in a tent to serve people on the NC500.

He was certain we should contact the owner of the empty food truck on The Meadows.

Thank you Haggai (then owner of Kim’s Mini Meals) for the advice!

We come to an Edinburgh police box

Didnt think this through, festival season stops at the end of the summer. Where on earth to go now?

Thankfully we got connected with Bambi who also took a chance on us and let us rent her police box in Edinburgh.

Looks like we are moving to Edinburgh!

First time selling coffee - Eden Festival season

Eden Festival were kind to us and gave us a chance. We got great feedback and we continued to do more festivals that summer. Thanks Eden!

First import arrives!

How exciting - it actually arrived!

Coming back to buy our first coffee in person

After 6 months of non stop research and planning a return trip was set up to go back and do our first transaction in person.

Finding Mr. Son

While in Vietnam on a personal trip the thought came that the Vietnamese coffee was superb. Surely it would be possible to pay a fair price to the farmers and still make it viable in the UK…

Through asking around speciality roasters we were set off on a journey into the mountains to visit a number of farms. One stood out by a country mile.
