Signs in 2020 ... FAIRTRADE is not fair?
Picture this.
Lush green hills, vibrant markets, and winding roads as they cut through the highland forests. This is Vietnam—the birthplace of some of the world's most beloved coffee traditions …
However much of a joke this may seem - not only is it good for the soul to be playful it is these personal relations and positive experiences which mean better business relations, more trust and less bureaucracy. Its a win-win. See below business gift starter pack, pairs excellently with tartan scarf:
One of our aims for the next trip aside from seeing friends, fun, adventure and tasting coffee is to make an updated small film to play in the coffee shop.
The last film that was filmed in 2020 called ‘Signs’ was a bit of an odd one. The purpose of the film was to explore whether FAIRTRADE is really fair? We interviewed some genuinely marvoulous people such as the world famous Peter Griffiths and Eve Broadis. The film explored conversation in the UK and Vietnam about some of the many unknown truths behind FAIRTRADE….
Upon returning to the UK and in the process of making the film all of the camera equipment and footage and backup footage was stolen.
Then a backup hard drive in the coffee shop with the footage on was corrupted. So it all seemed lost, however after many complications, a small portion of the footage was saved by the technician who said he had never seen a hard drive corrupted in that way before.
From this small amount of remaining footage, in the first 3 weeks of lockdown (the only weeks we were closed) in 2020, a partial version was put together. This missed all the important interviews and is mostly a brief story of the visit to Vietnam.
We will keep you updated with our next trip and share all the stories with you on here and on our socials :)
